Duration of competition: 1 June 2011-31 July 2011 (2 Months)
Theme: 1 Malaysia in 2011
The picture submission has to portray the 1 Malaysia slogan. The picture can be an individual, a group, location, cultural and anything that highlights Malaysia’s harmony and the spirit of 1 Malaysia. Each picture submitted must have a clearly understood, strong visual message.
•To encourage the celebration of Malaysia Day on 16 September 2011
•To further enrich the spirit of patriotism.
•To encourage the involvement of the public in Malaysia’s Art-Photography industry.
•To encourage the flow of creative ideas from budding photographers.
•To collect the best visual artwork and to support the emerging photographers through compilation of a book representing the work.
Photography Arts Competition is one of the best activities to collect visual images of themes and ideologies of a certain place, country and also the philosophies created by the public’s opinion or point of view. Besides encouraging the growth of the creative industry, a competition which is held in a scale this large would enable the industry to produce interesting treasures as a reference, picture and as a visual interpretation of ideas of the society towards the country.
Thus, MASIF 2011 would be honored to host and organize MASIF 2011 Photography competition with great help from the many co-sponsors that have agreed to sponsor this event. This is one of the many helpful contribution received from the private groups that have been involved in Malaysia’s celebration of peace and prosperity, especially in conjunction with the Malaysia’s 2nd year of celebrating Malaysia Day in 2011
